Another possibility is Terry Riley: Requiem for Adam: here is a clip from this extended work for String Quartet. I have not heard the complete piece.

Your posted music clip sounds 'Euro-Romantic' and overtly emotional, neither qualities generally associated with minimalist composers' music.

I checked on Youtube; there are at least five string quartets by Philip Glass. Not to disparage the minimalist composers, but this genre and style of writing is readily and successfully imitated by other competent composers, and this may be the case with the music in your clip.

The music in the clip reminds me more than a little bit, without its being a rip-off or paraphrase, of the famous Adagio from the Schubert Quintet in C, D 956. Whoever composed the music in your clip had to be aware of the Schubert:

Regrets I could not give more specific help.

The style is 'Minimalist / ism.' Three of the more likely suspects are Terry Riley, Steve Reich or Philip Glass (the latter being the most popularly known) though there are a good handful of other Americans and Europeans also writing in this particular style.

best of luck.
